The Village of Montrose
The Village of Montrose was incorporated in 1956 and has a population of approximately 1,000 people. Located between Trail and Fruitvale, the name “Montrose” was chosen after a popular place in Scotland. This community affords stunning views of the Columbia River and surrounding valley.
Amenities for the Whole Family
There are several businesses located in the village (Canada Post, Montrose Service Gas Station and Montrose Garden Restaurant). The Community Hall, which was built in the early 1950’s, is located at the Montrose Park which also features an amazing Skate/All-Wheel Park, a softball field, a multi-use sports court, playground, gazebo and community garden. Just a short hike up to the flagpole features our Canadian flag and valley views. The Montrose Fire Hall was built in 1959 and still houses the Montrose Volunteer Fire Department.
